Scope of Artificial Intelligence and its opportunities

Artificial intelligence is a simple software program that impersonates the way humans learn and solves the complex problem or in simple words, we can say it is the science of making computer machines able to perform tasks which normally require human intelligence, such as visual perception, speech recognition, decision-making, and translation between languages.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) could add $957 billion to the Indian economy according to a report by Accenture. That's a huge amount of money. According to a study, the scope of artificial intelligence is expected to rise by 60% during this year itself.

Artificial Intelligence has been utilized in various fields such as medicine, finance, education, transportation and more. Corporate houses are adopting AI for their strategies to become more competent in the market as the potential for use of AI in business decision making, cost savings and enhancing revenue opportunities are enormous.

AI has already started influencing people all around the world and with a passage of time people will rely fully on AI-based machines for their day to day work. Recently, Microsoft in collaboration with ICRISAT launched its AI program which is powered by Microsoft Cortana Intelligence for Indian Farmers to increase crop yields by sending a text message which contains sowing advisories to participating farmers on the optimal date to sow.

Another major area where AI has taken off is transportation. Media hype has covered quite a bit of recent advances, like self-driving Ubers or Tesla's new semi-autonomous trucks, What else lies ahead? The problem in transportation arises when system behaviour is difficult to predict according to some fixed predictable patterns such as traffic, human errors, or accident; so to get rid of this unpredictability use of AI has huge potential. AI is being implemented in different ways such as Improvement of Public Safety, Autonomous Vehicles driving, studying the Traffic Patterns and Pedestrian Safety.

The scope of AI is never ending and a most revolutionary technology for the mankind is just happening!
