New Delhi, Aug 14 (PTI) Aluminium prices softened by 0.27 per cent to Rs 145.15 per kg in futures trading today as speculators cut bets, driven by a fall in demand in the spot market.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in August month declined by 40 paise, or 0.27 per cent, to Rs 145.15 per kg in business turnover of 77 lots.

Analysts said offloading of positions by participants owing to slackened demand from consuming industries in the physical market weighed on aluminium prices at futures trade.
