Vietnam's VietJet recently signed a memorandum of understanding with Boeing Commercial Airplanes for 100 more 737 Max airplanes. The MoU was signed during the recent Farnborough Airshow 2018 in southern England.

As part of the MoU, the aircraft will include 80 737 MAX 10s and 20 737 MAX 8s valued at more than US$12.7.

The delivery of the same will be done between 2022 and 2025. Post delivery, VietJet will become Boeing's largest MAX 10 customer in Asia.

From the deal signed between the two parties, strategic partnership programme will also be implemented which will help in improving Vietnam's aviation service ecology. As part of the deal, Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO) center, a training center for pilots, technicians and engineers will also be established.

Thai Airways International and Airbus revealed about their plans for an MRO at the Aeropolis' in June.

VietJet was established in 2007 and since then it has been experiencing rapid growth. Soon after singing the Boeing order VietJet also ordered an additional 50 A321neo Airbus aircraft worth USD 6.5 billion.
