Weak conditions developed at the wholesale pulses market today as select pulses, led by gram and masoor, drifted lower by Rs 100 per quintal owing to slackened demand.

In the national capital, gram shed Rs 50 to Rs 4,350-4,400, while its dal local and best quality drifted lower by Rs 100 each to Rs 4,600-5,000 and Rs 5,000-5,100 per quintal, respectively.

Masoor small and bold declined by Rs 50 each to Rs 3,800-4,100 and Rs 3,850-4,150 per quintal. Its dal local and best quality lost Rs 100 each at Rs 4,400-4800 and Rs 4,500-4,900 per quintal, respectively. Malka local and best quality weakened by Rs 50 each to Rs 4,550-4,850 and Rs 4,650-4,950 per quintal. Moth also softened by a similar margin to Rs 3,800-4,200 per quintal.

In line with the overall trend, arhar and its dal dara variety moved down by Rs 50 and Rs 100 to Rs 3,800 and Rs 5,200-7,100 per quintal.

Urad and its dal chilka local too finished lower by Rs 50 and Rs 100 to Rs 4,100-5,300 and Rs 5,200-5,300 per quintal. Its dal best quality and dhoya enquired lower by Rs 100 each to Rs 5,300-5,800 and Rs 5,750-5,950 per quintal.
