FBIL fixes the reference rate of rupees against dollar

The Financial Benchmarks India private limited (FBIL) today fixed the reference rate of the rupee at 69.7617 against the US dollar and 79.6720 for the euro.
The corresponding rates were 70.2287 and 79.9718, Aug 16. According to an FBIL statement, the exchange rates for the pound and the yen against the rupee were 88.8741 and 63.09 per 100 yens, respectively, based on reference rates for the dollar and cross-currency quotes at noon.
The SDR-rupee figure will be based on this rate, the statement added.
