Nickel slips on subdued demand

Nickel slipped at the non-ferrous metal market here today on stockists' selling amid subdued demand from alloy industries.

Elsewhere, copper also eased owing to mild demand from

industrial users.

While, lead and tin gained further due to good demand

from alloy industries.

Nickel declined by Rs 20 per kg to Rs 980 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 1,000.

Copper cable scrap, copper scrap heavy and copper billets softened by a Re per kg each to Rs 455, Rs 450 and Rs 483 respectively.

However, tin rose by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 1,400 as

against Rs 1,000 and lead inched up per kg to Rs 160.
