Copper weakens on reduced industrial demand

Copper prices fell by Rs 2 per kg at the non-ferrous metals market today due to tepid demand from consuming industries.

Traders said muted demand from consuming industries at domestic spot market weighed on copper prices.

In the national capital, copper mixed scrap shed Rs 2 at Rs 443 per kg.

Following are today's metal rates (in Rs per kg):

Zinc ingot Rs 137-143, nickel plate (4x4) Rs 935-937, gun metal scrap Rs 227, bell metal scrap Rs 229, copper mixed scrap Rs 443, chadri deshi Rs 295.

Lead ingot Rs 146, lead imported Rs 153, aluminum ingots Rs 168, aluminum sheet cutting Rs 164, aluminum wire scrap Rs 164 and aluminum utensils scrap Rs 162.
