Soybean prices went up by Rs 40 to Rs 3,332 per quintal in futures trade Wednesday after participants enlarged their exposure, taking positive lead from global markets.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, soybean for delivery in October hardened by Rs 40 or 1.22 percent to Rs 3,332 per quintal, having a business turnover of 52,600 lots.

Similarly, the most-traded delivery in November advanced by Rs 36 or 1.08 percent to Rs 3,360 per percent, with a business turnover of 74,020 lots.

Marketmen said widening of bets by participants, taking positive cues from the global market, led to the rise in soybean prices in futures trade here.
