FBIL fixed rupee rate against dollar

The Financial Benchmarks India private limited (FBIL) today fixed the reference rate of the rupee at 72.6505 against the US dollar and 85.0418 for the euro. The corresponding rates were 72.7182 and 85.5365, as of yesterday.

According to an FBIL statement, the exchange rates for the pound and the yen against the rupee were 95.4347 and 64.47 per 100 yens, respectively, based on reference rates for the dollar and cross-currency quotes at noon.

The SDR-rupee figure will be based on this rate, the statement added.
