London Stock Exchange Group to set up Technology Centre of Excellence in Hyderabad
Hyderabad, May 12 (PTI): London Stock Exchange Group PLC (LSEG) announced that it will establish a Technology Centre of Excellence in Hyderabad, which will generate employment for about 1,000 people in a year.
Telangana IT and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao is currently on a four-day tour of the United Kingdom (UK) to attract investors The announcement was made after the minister met with LSEG Group CIO Anthony McCarthy in London, a press release from KTR's office said.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in this regard was signed by Jayesh Ranjan, Principal Secretary of IT and Industries Departments with McCarthy and others.
The establishment of the Technology Centre of Excellence by LSEG in Hyderabad is a significant boost to the banking, financial services, and insurance (BFSI) sector in the city, the release said.
The move is expected to create ample employment opportunities and drive growth in the industry.
