BSH Home Appliances appoints Saif Khan as CEO & MD for India market

BSH Home Appliances on Tuesday announced the appointment of Saif Khan as the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director for the India market.

Khan's appointment is effective from June 2023, said a statement from BSH Home Appliances, a subsidiary of German home appliances major BSH Hausgeräte GmbH.

''He will work closely with the Board members of BSH Home Appliances India, Sathyanarayanan Viswanathan, Chief Financial Officer and Head of Business Administration and Dr Rakesh Desai, Chief Technology Officer CTO & Chairman of the Board in leading the next-growth story in India,'' it said.

Khan will also collaborate with the company's global leadership team to develop and implement strategies to strengthen BSH's position in India.

He previously served as the Head of Sales and Marketing Central Asia, Near East and North Africa for BSH Home Appliances and has over 25 years of experience in leadership positions in consumer durables MNCs, it added.

Khan has led a turnaround of the Central Asia and North Africa business in the last seven years at BSH transforming it into a more focused, growth-driven and sustainable business, the statement said.

BSH Home Appliances has been operating in India since 2010 with its three brands - Bosch, Siemens, and Gaggenau - in segments such as refrigerators, washing machines, washer dryers, dishwashers, cooktops and ovens, among others.
