The Dutch caretaker government is planning to cap the number of Schiphol airport flights to 452,500 a year, it said in a statement on Friday.

Schiphol itself supports the cuts, while airlines who oppose the cap are appealing to the Dutch Supreme Court after losing an appeal in July.
