You may find that overtime your business has lost a few customers or things have begun to feel a little stale. There might be because you've been offering the same products with nothing to entice people in. It might also be because you're slightly behind the times, meaning competitors in your field are winning your customers over.

While your business may not be struggling per se, it's understandable that you don't want it to get to that point. That means it's time for a revamp, and here are some ways you can easily reinvent your business so you can start winning those customers back and reaping in the profits.

Speak to your staff

If you have a team of people who work for you, one of the first things you should do is sit them down and ask for ideas for the business. More often than not, you'll find that everyone has some sort of idea that you could put into play. One benefit of asking your team for their contributions is that they already know the ins and outs of how your business is run, so even if their ideas are simply to improve productivity, they'll definitely be worth listening to.

However, you may also find that some of your team have other ideas you could try as a business, such as a gift wrapping station or money off when people have spent a certain amount. Whatever the takeaway is from this meeting, be sure to reward any contributions as a thank you for helping the business. Whether this is through a promotion or an act of gratitude depends on your business and what you can offer.

Create offers that are difficult to pass up on

From the back of your team meeting, it's time to create offers that are difficult for potential customers to pass up on. Take some time to look at what your local competitors are doing and what their customers are like to see if you can put your own spin on things.

For example, if you owned a salon, you could offer free haircuts for children who attend the appointment with their mother or father. Or, if two friends come into an appointment together, offer a discount for their next salon trip. There are so many different and quirky ways you could elevate your business simply by looking at your clientele and what your competitors are doing (or not doing).

Attend networking events

Networking events are fantastic ways to get an idea of what your competitors are doing as well as showcasing what you've got to offer. Regardless of whether networking events for your industry are once or ten times a year, you should always put in maximum effort to drive people back to your business.

Your display table should be something you focus on. What aren't your competitors doing? What are they doing that you can do better? It might take a few events to nail this down completely, but the sooner you go, the sooner you can improve.

The great part of visiting networking events before turning up with your own table is that you can create a new business plan. Take everything you've learned at these events and turn it into something that's going to blow people away when you reveal it. Using simulation developers is a great way of visualising the business plan you've put together.

Change up aesthetics

People get bored quickly, and if there's a competitor of yours that offers exciting branding and aesthetics, then that might be enough to draw a customer away from your business. Consider completely changing up your aesthetic and reinventing yourself as a brand. Buy new signage, give your store a lick of paint and new layout, and make the outside of your business look more appealing.

A great way to do this is by having beautiful store window displays. There are tons of inspirational posts on Pinterest if you're not as creatively minded as your competitors. Pair a new shop display with a new sign outside with an A board and you'll soon get interested parties coming in to see the new and improved you.

Another way you could change up the aesthetics of your business is by re-kitting your entire team with new and exciting uniforms. Perhaps yours have been the same since your business opened, or you're just looking for something a bit new. Remember to keep it on brand and in line with what your business offers. Again, this could be an instance where you gather the opinions of your employees for some inspiration!

Use social media

Every reputable business has social media in this day and age, and while you may have created those accounts, are you really using them? Spend some time each week updating your followers on what you've been up to as a business. This could be sharing an achievement of an employee, or posting a new promotion you'll be offering around the festive period.

Another great way of using social media to your business's advantage is by hosting competitions and giveaways. Ask followers to like and share your post in return for a chance to win the prize you're offering. Not only does this generate excitement, but it encourages other people to follow you and take part in the giveaway.

Redesign your business website

Social media isn't the only place online that could help drive more customers to your business. If you don't have a business website, now is the time to create one. If you do but it doesn't really serve a purpose, then now is the time to redesign it. Have written and video content displayed on your website that helps customers of your business.

For example, if you sell gardening tools and materials, then filling your site with how-tos and DIY ideas is a great way of becoming a more helpful business to your customers. Pair amazing content with links to your products, and your business will have products flying off the shelves left, right, and centre!

Try out these ideas to reinvent your business in the best way possible.
