St. Petersburg airport restricts operations, TASS says
Pulkovo airport in Saint Petersburg has restricted operations to ensure flight safety, the TASS news agency reported on Sunday, citing Rosaviatsia, the country's aviation watchdog.
Earlier on Sunday, Russia's Emergencies Ministry said two people were injured in a 1,000 square metre fire in a hangar several kilometres away from the airport. Rosaviatsia did not name the reason for imposing the restrictions from 17:00 local time (14:00 GMT), according to TASS.
