On Wednesday, leading media house Times Network announced the appointment of Varun Kohli as the chief operating officer (COO) for its news broadcasting division. Kohli, often referred to as the 'Turnaround Man', will report directly to the Managing Director's Office while collaborating closely with N Subramanian, Executive Director and Group CEO, Non-Publishing Business, Times Group.

With nearly three decades of leadership experience in the media industry, Kohli is well-regarded for his expertise in P&L and Operations Management. His tenure has seen him launch successful media brands and transform underperforming ventures into profitable ones.

Kohli's extensive portfolio includes roles in sports management, where he spearheaded the Pro Wrestling League and Big Bout Boxing League during his time at iTV Network. His leadership and strategic orientation have been pivotal in designing roadmaps and benchmarking for various companies.

Vineet Jain, Managing Director of Times Group, commented on the appointment, emphasizing Kohli's aptitude for innovative revenue management and operational strategies, which are expected to drive Times Network to new heights.
