Relief on the Rails: 92 Coaches Added to Ease Overcrowding

The Railways has added 92 new general category coaches to 46 long-distance trains to alleviate overcrowding. Amid numerous reports of overcrowding on various trains, the Railways announced on Friday that it has added 92 general category coaches to 46 long-distance trains. This move aims to enhance passenger convenience.

In an official statement, the ministry revealed plans to include general coaches in more trains. Specifically, they have identified 22 other trains for future upgrades.

The newly fitted trains include popular routes such as the Guwahati-Bikaner Express, Guwahati-Barmer Express, Guwahati-Lokmanya Tilak Express, and Mumbai-Bengaluru Udayan Express. According to the ministry, these additional coaches will greatly improve travel conditions for the general public.
