Tragic Collision in Paschim Medinipur: Six Dead in Ambulance-Truck Crash
Six people, including four family members, were killed in a collision involving an ambulance and a truck in Paschim Medinipur, West Bengal. In a tragic incident on Friday night, six individuals, including four members of a single family, lost their lives when the ambulance they were traveling in collided with a truck in Paschim Medinipur, West Bengal. The crash occurred on the Panchami state highway near Keshpur, according to police reports.
A senior police officer confirmed that the identities of two seriously injured victims, who are receiving medical treatment at a nearby hospital, have yet to be established. However, the deceased include Aparna Bag's mother, Anima Mallick, her husband, Shyamapada Bag, and her uncle and aunt, Shyamal and Chandana Bhuniya. Tragically, Aparna and Shyamapada had been married only a few months ago.
The officer noted that both Aparna and the ambulance driver are in critical condition and are being closely monitored by medical professionals. Investigations are ongoing to determine whether the ambulance driver was under the influence of alcohol or if there were any mechanical failures involved in the accident.
