These discussions aim to explore new trade and investment avenues, resolve bilateral issues, and deepen economic cooperation.
The Ministry highlighted that the visit is part of India's efforts to showcase vast trade and investment opportunities. Prior to Italy, Goyal will visit Switzerland on July 14-15 for business and official meetings.
Key discussions will focus on implementing the European Free Trade Association's (EFTA) Trade and Economic Partnership Agreement (TEPA), with investment commitments from EFTA amounting to USD 100 billion. At the G7 meeting in Reggio Calabria, Goyal will present India's vision for global trade and supply chain resilience, citing reforms to enhance business ease and attract foreign investments.
