Seven Pilgrims Killed in Tragic Taxi Accident in Maharashtra
Seven pilgrims returning from Pandharpur died and three were injured when their taxi veered off the road and plunged into a well in Maharashtra's Jalna district. The accident occurred at 5:30 PM in Vasant Nagar when the taxi tried to avoid an oncoming motorcycle. The victims were residents of Chanegaon and Bhokardan.

Seven pilgrims were tragically killed and three others injured when their taxi veered off the road and fell into a well in Maharashtra's Jalna district on Thursday. The accident occurred at 5:30 PM in Vasant Nagar of Badnapur tehsil, according to local police.
The victims were returning to their hometown of Chanegaon in Badnapur tehsil after a pilgrimage to Pandharpur. The taxi, which had 12 occupants including the driver, was trying to avoid a motorcycle coming from the opposite direction when it lost control and plunged into the well.
The crash left some passengers trapped as the front doors of the taxi jammed, while others managed to escape as the vehicle started sinking. Authorities had to use a crane to recover the bodies from the submerged car. The injured have been admitted to the district hospital.
