Vinod Kumar Tripathi: New Gov Director Appointed by MOIL

Vinod Kumar Tripathi, a joint secretary in the Ministry of Steel, has been appointed as the government Director on the board of MOIL. Tripathi, who belongs to the Indian Railway Service of Engineers (IRSE), brings significant expertise in public policy, mega construction projects, train operations, and more.

Vinod Kumar Tripathi, a joint secretary in the Ministry of Steel, has officially been appointed as a government Director on the board of MOIL, as per a recent exchange filing.

The decision comes following Sanjay Roy's cessation as the government nominee director on MOIL's board, the company confirmed in its announcement.

In an order dated 18.07.2024, the Ministry of Steel appointed Tripathi, an Indian Railway Service of Engineers (IRSE) 1995 batch member and Civil Engineering graduate from IIT Roorkee.

Tripathi's vast experience spans administration, management, and engineering, with special expertise in public policy, mega construction projects, train operations, asset maintenance, technological advancement, procurement, inventory management, and human resource management, MOIL noted.

MOIL, under the Ministry of Steel, is the largest manganese ore producer in the country, fulfilling approximately 46% of India's requirements for the dioxide ore.
