Wipro Sets Ambitious Hiring Goals for FY25 Amid Growth Plans
IT giant Wipro announced plans to hire 10,000-12,000 individuals in FY25, aiming to complete previously made job offers and strengthen its workforce as it anticipates growth. The company reported a 4.6% increase in net profit for Q1FY25 and has already onboarded approximately 3,000 new employees.

IT major Wipro on Friday announced its intentions to hire 10,000-12,000 people in FY25 as part of its growth strategy. The Bengaluru-based company also reaffirmed its commitment to honor all existing job offers, according to CHRO Saurabh Govil.
Wipro reported a 4.6% increase in net profit for Q1FY25, amounting to Rs 3,003.2 crore. The company aims to hire both on-campus and off-campus candidates during the fiscal year. 'We will be onboarding around 10,000-12,000 people this fiscal. We also have relationships and partnerships with certain institutes,' Govil stated.
As of the June quarter, Wipro's headcount stood at 2,34,391, with an addition of 337 employees in Q1. The firm has already started onboarding freshers and plans to continue hiring globally for specific skillsets. Shares of Wipro closed at Rs 557.25 on the BSE, down 2.78% from the previous close.
