Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Tuesday lauded the Union Budget presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, saying it centered around the common man.
Speaking to reporters, Shinde highlighted the Budget's focus on youth, workers, farmers, and women, alongside a significant push for the infrastructure sector.
'The Budget centers around the common man. It is a step towards achieving the goal of making India a $5 trillion economy,' he stated.
Shinde also pointed out the relief provided to taxpayers.
As the party chief of Shiv Sena, Shinde mentioned the Budget's allocation of Rs 3 lakh crore for women-related schemes, Rs 1.52 lakh crore for farmers, and Rs 3 lakh crore for infrastructure development.
Sitharaman announced a Rs 1.52 lakh crore allocation for agriculture and allied sectors, outlining plans to boost research, promote sustainable farming, enhance oilseed and pulse production, and integrate technology into the agricultural landscape.
