Larsen & Toubro Posts 12% Rise in Q1 Profit Amid Strong Global Orders
Larsen & Toubro (L&T) reported a 12% increase in consolidated profit after tax for the June quarter, amounting to Rs 2,786 crore. The company's revenue reached Rs 55,120 crore, growing 15% year-on-year, with significant contributions from international markets. Orders worth Rs 70,936 crore were received, driven by strong demand in the Middle East.
Larsen & Toubro (L&T) on Wednesday reported a 12 per cent increase in its consolidated profit after tax (PAT), amounting to Rs 2,786 crore for the June quarter, buoyed by higher revenues.
The engineering giant achieved consolidated revenues of Rs 55,120 crore for Q1 of the current fiscal year, marking a year-on-year growth of 15 per cent. This growth was driven by strong execution in its projects and manufacturing portfolios, supported by a substantial order book, L&T said in an official statement.
International revenues stood at Rs 26,248 crore, representing 48 per cent of the total revenue for the quarter. Additionally, the company secured orders worth Rs 70,936 crore at the group level during the period, growing 8 per cent, thanks to robust order inflow from the Middle East.
Homegrown L&T is one of the largest infrastructure companies globally, with a presence in over 50 countries.
