Tamil Nadu Seeks Stronger Economic Ties with UAE in Technology and Manufacturing
Tamil Nadu is actively exploring collaborations in space technology, drones, and quantum computing with the United Arab Emirates. Minister T R B Rajaa highlighted the state's strong manufacturing base and projected electronics export growth. High-level meetings and mutual visits emphasize the increasing economic partnership between Tamil Nadu and the UAE.
Tamil Nadu is actively seeking to strengthen its economic ties with the United Arab Emirates, particularly in sectors such as space technology, drones, and quantum computing, according to Minister for Industries T R B Rajaa.
Speaking at an event, Rajaa mentioned that the state is on track to become the largest exporter of electronics, targeting USD 12 billion in exports this year. He also noted the recent high-level delegation exchanges aimed at fostering deeper collaboration.
Rajaa emphasized the robust industrial base in Tamil Nadu, highlighting the presence of 40,000 factories and a considerable portion of the manufacturing workforce comprising women. The state also plans to continue dialogues with potential investors from both the UAE and other regions, ensuring actionable outcomes from these interactions.
