Bhutan PM Tshering Tobgay Lauds Adani's Renewable Energy Vision During Gujarat Visit

Bhutan's Prime Minister, Tshering Tobgay, praised Adani Group's renewable energy initiatives during his visit to the mega project site at Khavda and Mundra Port in Gujarat. Tobgay described Adani Group chairman, Gautam Adani, as his friend and expressed admiration for Adani's vision. He emphasized the potential for further collaboration in green energy.
"With what I've seen in what Gautam Adani is doing with renewable energy and the special economic zone and what I have seen at the GIFT City today, I can see a lot of opportunities for further strengthening our partnership, cooperation, and friendship through these projects," Tobgay stated. He also thanked the chief minister of Gujarat and the state government for their hospitality during the Bhutanese King's delegation visit.
Highlighting the significance of the visit, Tobgay mentioned that it will bolster the strong ties between Bhutan and India. During the trip, they visited GIFT City and the Statue of Unity, which Tobgay described as a "pilgrimage." He expressed admiration for Prime Minister Modi's vision for India as embodied by the statue.
Gautam Adani shared his appreciation for the visit by the Bhutanese King and Prime Minister, emphasizing Bhutan's commitment to eco-friendly initiatives. Adani expressed excitement about future collaborations with Bhutan for a sustainable future. Previously, international dignitaries, including the US Ambassador to India Eric Garcetti and Japanese Ambassador Hiroshi Suzuki, have praised Adani's work in renewable energy during their visits to the site.
Gautam Adani has also interacted with the British High Commissioner to India, Lindy Cameron, discussing various topics, such as cybersecurity and the future of nuclear energy, underlining the global interest in sustainable initiatives led by Adani Group.
