Godrej Properties Expands with Massive Land Acquisition in Indore

Godrej Properties Ltd has acquired 46 acres of land in Indore for approximately Rs 200 crore to develop residential plots. This acquisition aligns with the company's growth strategy and will offer around 1.16 million sq ft of saleable area, marking its entry into the Indore market.

Godrej Properties Ltd announced on Wednesday that it has acquired a 46-acre land parcel in Indore for around Rs 200 crore. The acquisition is part of the company’s strategic expansion plan in response to robust consumer demand.

The new development will consist mainly of plotted residential units, providing an estimated saleable area of approximately 1.16 million square feet, according to the company's regulatory filing.

Sources reveal that the land was purchased outright for Rs 200 crore. Gaurav Pandey, MD & CEO of Godrej Properties, highlighted that this acquisition marks the company's entry into Indore, Madhya Pradesh. Pandey noted that residential plotted developments have grown in popularity recently, and the Indore-Ujjain Road presents a promising opportunity.
