Ashok Leyland Reports 8% Decline in July 2024 Sales
Commercial vehicle maker Ashok Leyland reported an 8% decline in total sales for July 2024, totaling 13,928 units compared to last year's 15,068 units. Domestic sales decreased by 9%, while medium and heavy commercial vehicle sales fell by 14%. Light commercial vehicle sales remained flat.
Commercial vehicle manufacturer Ashok Leyland announced an 8 percent decrease in total sales for July 2024, with figures dropping to 13,928 units from 15,068 units in July 2023.
In a statement, the company revealed that domestic sales saw a 9 percent decline, totaling 12,926 units, compared to 14,207 units in the same month last year.
The company also reported a 14 percent drop in domestic sales of medium and heavy commercial vehicles, down to 7,685 units from 8,974 units in July 2023. Meanwhile, light commercial vehicle sales remained steady at 5,241 units, barely changing from 5,233 units last year.
