NIIT, a talent development company, has reported a three-fold rise in consolidated net profits, reaching Rs 7.75 crore in the June 2024 quarter. This marks a significant increase from the Rs 2.18 crore net profit recorded in the same period last year.
The company's revenue from operations also saw a robust growth, coming in at Rs 82.47 crore, a 31.86 per cent increase from the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year. Sequentially, revenue grew by 10.93 per cent, though net profit saw a decline of 30.5 per cent.
The surge in revenue and profit was primarily driven by expansion in the number of customers across various sectors, including private banks and large Indian enterprises. The BFSI (banking, financial services, and insurance) sector showed remarkable performance, registering a 94 per cent year-on-year growth. NIIT's strategic pivot from fresher training to working professional training and increased focus on the BFSI sector contributed significantly to these numbers.
