In a strategic move to enhance its footprint, Adani Group's Ambuja Cement Ltd (ACL) has unveiled plans to invest approximately Rs 1,600 crore in Bihar. This investment will establish a new cement grinding unit at Warisaliganj in the Nawada district, marking the company's first venture in the state.

According to a statement from ACL, the standalone grinding unit will have an overall capacity of 6 MTPA (million tonnes per annum). 'The Warisaliganj Cement Grinding Unit, will be established at an investment of nearly Rs 1,600 crore,' the statement detailed. The project forms part of ACL's aggressive expansion strategy across India.

Highlighting the project's significance, the Adani Group emphasized that it would meet Bihar’s growing infrastructure needs. The project, slated to roll out in phases, will commence with a 2.4 MTPA facility expected by December 2025, contributing approximately Rs 250 crore annually to the state's revenue and creating numerous job opportunities.
