IndiGo plans to introduce business class seats on select domestic routes from November 14 and launch a customer loyalty program to commemorate its 18 years of operation. The airline, transitioning from a low-cost carrier, aims to enhance its services and global presence with significant fleet expansions.
IndiGo, marking its 18th anniversary, announced the introduction of business class seats on select domestic flights starting November 14. The airline is also launching a customer loyalty program, 'IndiGo BluChip,' in September as part of its strategy to expand and strengthen its global footprint.
At a recent event in the national capital, IndiGo CEO Pieter Elbers disclosed that bookings for the business class seats would open from August 6. The offerings, starting with the Delhi-Mumbai route, are tailored to meet the demands of frequent business travelers.
IndiGo, currently holding a 61% domestic market share, will also receive significant fleet upgrades with A321 XLR planes in 2025 and wide-body A350 aircraft by 2027, underlining its commitment to evolving into a global aviation leader.
