Copper Prices Dip Amid Muted Demand

Copper futures fell by 0.29% to Rs 774.60 per kilogram as traders reduced their positions due to weak demand in the domestic market. This price drop occurred on the Multi Commodity Exchange for August delivery contracts, influenced by the trimming of positions by speculators.

Copper futures on Thursday fell 0.29 per cent to Rs 774.60 per kilogram as participants cut their positions amid a muted demand in the domestic market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for August delivery eased by Rs 2.25 or 0.29 per cent to Rs 774.60 per kg in a business turnover of 14,409 lots.

Analysts said trimming of positions by speculators amid a muted demand in the spot market mainly dragged down copper prices in the futures trade.
