Two pilots were injured when a trainer aircraft belonging to a private aviation academy crashed at an airstrip in Madhya Pradesh’s Guna district on Sunday, a police official said.

The two-seater Cessna 152 plane reportedly encountered engine failure and crashed at around 1.30 pm after being airborne for 40 minutes, according to Guna Cantt police station in-charge Dileep Rajoria.

The injured pilots were quickly admitted to a local hospital and are out of danger. The plane had arrived in Guna a few days earlier for testing and maintenance, the official added.
