The Philippines and China have reached a provisional agreement regarding resupply missions for troops stationed on a South China Sea shoal. A review of this agreement is pending, as mentioned by a Philippine foreign ministry official on Tuesday.
Foreign Affairs Undersecretary Ma. Theresa Lazaro did not specify any reasons for the review of the provisional understanding.
Foreign Affairs Secretary Enrique Manalo confirmed that the Philippines intends to honor the agreement and expects China to do the same during the same hearing.
