Kolkata Metro Boosts Services for WBCS Exam Day
The Kolkata Metro has announced that it will run eight additional trains on the Dakshineswar-New Garia corridor on the morning of August 18 to aid candidates appearing for the West Bengal Civil Service (WBCS) examinations. Extra services will begin from 7 am instead of the usual 9 am on Sundays.

The Kolkata Metro announced on Friday that it will operate eight additional trains on the Dakshineswar-New Garia corridor on August 18 to assist candidates appearing for the West Bengal Civil Service (WBCS) examinations.
Typically, 130 trains are run on Sundays, but on this particular day, sixty-nine pairs of trains will traverse both up and down lines from 7 am, starting services earlier than the usual 9 am.
The initial Kavi Subhas-bound train from Dakshineswar will commence at 7:15 am, with 8 services available between 7 am to 9 am at 30-minute intervals to ensure smooth travel for examinees.
