The Union Cabinet has given the go-ahead for substantial airport projects in Bagdgora, West Bengal, and Bihta, Bihar, with a combined estimated cost of Rs 2,962 crore.

Information and Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced the approval of a new civil enclave at Bagdgora airport, which will cost approximately Rs 1,549 crore and include an apron capable of accommodating 10 parking bays for A-321 aircraft.

Similarly, a new civil enclave at Bihta airport in Bihar has been approved, with an estimated cost of Rs 1,413 crore. This project will feature an apron with the capacity to handle 10 parking bays suitable for A-321, B-737-800, and A-320 aircraft.
