Kauvery Hospital Alwarpet in Chennai has launched the Mobile Wellness Clinic, an ambitious initiative aimed at enhancing healthcare accessibility for the underprivileged. This project is a collaborative effort with the Rotary Club of Madras North and Bay Forge under the hospital's CSR initiatives.

The inauguration was attended by Thiru Ma. Subramanian, Hon'ble Minister for Health & Family Welfare, and Thiru Dha. Velu, MLA for Mylapore. The mobile unit aims to serve over 100,000 individuals by offering timely medical screenings and raising health awareness throughout the community.

The Mobile Wellness Clinic is equipped with advanced diagnostic tools like ECG, EchoCardiogram, and X-rays. It offers multi-specialty services including General Medicine, Cardiology, Dermatology, Nephrology, Orthopedics, Oncology, and Neurology. Aimed at early detection of health issues, the clinic ensures high-quality medical care reaches suburban areas with limited access.

In addition to diagnostic and treatment services, the clinic will focus on health education through community awareness sessions and medical camps. Dr. Aravindan Selvaraj, Co-founder of Kauvery Group, emphasized the project’s goal of making healthcare accessible to all, particularly in semi-rural and rural areas. The initiative aligns with Kauvery Hospital’s mission to provide affordable, quality healthcare.

Monthly, the Mobile Wellness Clinic will conduct over 12 camps, screening around 600 individuals. The project will primarily operate in Chennai and extend services to Kanchipuram, Tiruvallur, and Chengalpattu districts.
