The Himachal Pradesh government has reached a significant milestone by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Dubai-based EFS Facilities Services Group Limited to facilitate overseas placements for the state's youth. Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu witnessed the signing, which marks a pivotal step in expanding global employment opportunities for residents.

Sandeep Thakur, Deputy Director of Employment, signed on behalf of the state, while Tariq Chauhan, Chief Executive Officer of EFS, represented the company. This MoU aims to create job prospects abroad for Himachali youth, specifically in sectors such as hospitality, technical services, housekeeping, and food and beverage.

In a symbolic gesture, Chief Minister Sukhu handed appointment letters to five selected candidates set to join the NEOM city project in Saudi Arabia. As part of a broader hiring strategy, EFS plans to recruit up to 1,000 Himachali candidates annually and ensure their well-being through a robust tracking system, integrated with the Mukhya Mantri Sewa Sankalp Helpline 1100.

This collaboration aligns with the state government's broader objectives of exploring further overseas employment and self-employment avenues. The event also saw the unveiling of Tariq Chauhan's book, 'Getting to Resilient Mode,' and was attended by notable officials, including Industries Minister Harshwardhan Chauhan and Labour and Employment Secretary Priyanka Basu.
