VMPL Pune (Maharashtra) [India], September 10: Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the founder of Maratha rule (Swarajya), is celebrated worldwide. However, his father, Shahajiraje, who greatly influenced him, remains relatively unknown. Pune-based historian Amar Yuvraj Dangat aims to change this with his new book, 'Randhurandhar Shahajiraje Bhosale.'

After 10 years of research, Dangat's book was launched by Union Minister Nitin Gadkari at his Nagpur residence. At the event, Gadkari lauded Dangat's decade-long efforts, which involved extensive travels across Maharashtra and Karnataka. Dangat expressed, 'Shahajiraje invigorated the pride of Maharashtra, making Maharashtrians aware of their identity during 350 years of Islamic and foreign rule. This inspired me to write about his remarkable personality.'

'Using only genuine resources, I detailed Shahajiraje's covert rule in Karnataka and his role in establishing Swarajya in Maharashtra,' Dangat shared. His comprehensive research involved visiting numerous sites, gathering credible references, and verifying them with experts to ensure accuracy. The book can be purchased by calling 72194 03108.
