Air India Grounds Cabin Crew After Door Incident

Air India has taken disciplinary action against three cabin crew members following an incident where they erroneously attempted to open a door upon landing, which resulted in the auto-deployment of emergency slides.

According to sources, the incident involved a Boeing 777 aircraft that had just landed at Bangalore airport from San Francisco on September 15. The error led to the emergency slides deploying automatically, causing a delay for a subsequent flight.

An Air India spokesperson confirmed a technical issue with the door, stating it was promptly addressed and passengers disembarked safely. An internal probe has been initiated, but the airline did not comment on the derostering of the crew members involved.
