Kolkata airport authorities were on high alert after a passenger raised an alarm about a potential bomb threat on a private airline flight on Sunday.

The individual claimed to suspect a bomb in a bag near gate number 18, specifically on IndiGo flight 6E 892 to Chennai, involving authorities from both CISF and IndiGo in the process.

Upon investigation, the suspicious bag was found to belong to a woman employee of the airline, and the scare was established as a hoax. The passenger has been detained and will face examination and inquiry for providing false information.
