In a significant move to bolster employment in India, over 42,000 job fairs have been organized since 2019, facilitating job opportunities for over 18.4 lakh seekers, as per Union Minister Jitendra Singh. These efforts are part of the Rozgar Melas initiative, spearheaded by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Minister Singh highlighted that 14 Rozgar Melas have been held across various Indian cities, resulting in the issuance of numerous appointment letters. These events, conducted in a mission mode, represent coordinated efforts across multiple ministries and departments.

Besides Rozgar Melas, the Ministry of Labour and Employment runs the National Career Service, providing a digital platform for job-related services. The government is also leveraging infrastructure improvements and the Union Budget to enhance employment, aiming to create opportunities across diverse sectors.
