Karnataka Unveils Ambitious Clean Mobility Policy for 2025-2030

Karnataka Energy Minister K J George launched the Clean Mobility Policy 2025-2030 at Invest Karnataka 2025, aiming to make the state Asia’s top clean mobility hub. With Rs 50,000 crore in investments targeted, the initiative seeks to create one lakh jobs and includes subsidies for clean energy infrastructure.

On Friday, Karnataka’s Energy Minister K J George introduced the groundbreaking Clean Mobility Policy 2025-2030 during the Invest Karnataka 2025 event.

The policy sets ambitious goals, intending to establish Karnataka as Asia’s leading clean mobility hub while facilitating the state’s shift to a sustainable transportation ecosystem. Aiming to attract Rs 50,000 crore in investments, the policy is expected to generate 100,000 new jobs across the sector.

Highlights include significant subsidies for infrastructure investment, particularly for electric vehicle charging stations and clean mobility clusters across regions like Bengaluru and beyond. The state plans collaborative efforts with global institutions to foster a specialized workforce tailored to the burgeoning industry.
