Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan recently expressed strong disapproval of Tata Group-owned Air India following an unpleasant experience involving faulty seating on a domestic flight. This prompted K Rammohan Naidu, his ministerial colleague, to demand corrective measures from the airline.

Air India responded to the situation with an apology, accompanied by a commitment to a thorough investigation, while the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) also sought comprehensive details of the incident from the airline.

Chouhan, who endured the flight in discomfort due to a defective seat, labeled this as an unethical practice, given passengers are charged full fare. He emphasized the need for Air India to ensure better service standards in future engagements.
