Nasscom Projects IT Sector Revenue Surge Amid Global Challenges

Despite global challenges, the sector sees employment growth and revenue surges across various categories, including IT services and engineering research.

Nasscom anticipates a 5.1% increase in IT sector revenues for FY25 to reach USD 282.6 billion, with projections surpassing USD 300 billion by FY26, a rise of about 6% from FY25 levels, as announced by President Rajesh Nambiar.

Nambiar highlighted the positive outcome amidst global challenges, underscoring a notable employment increase of 1.26 lakh, bringing the total workforce in the tech sector to 58 lakh people.

The report outlined growth across traditional IT services, business process outsourcing, and engineering research, with the latter seeing the fastest revenue growth at 7%, underscoring the vibrancy of India's IT industry.
