BYD, a leading electric vehicle manufacturer, has announced the launch of its latest model, the Atto 2, an electric compact SUV in France. The vehicle is priced competitively at 28,990 euros, positioning it as the company's most affordable SUV offering in the European B SUV segment.

The Atto 2's price point is notably lower by 5,000 euros compared to the Kia Niro, 6,000 euros less than the Opel Mokka-e, and 7,000 euros cheaper than the Peugeot e-2008. However, the Stellantis Citroen e-C3 still remains a more budget-friendly option, even before applying potential French incentives, which can save consumers up to 4,000 euros on the Stellantis models.

This strategic pricing by BYD underscores its aim to capture a significant share of the European market by providing a value-driven alternative amidst growing competition in the electric vehicle space.
