Ikea is set to commence online sales in Delhi-NCR and nine additional markets as part of its strategy to establish a foothold in North India, with the eventual opening of physical stores in Gurugram and Noida.

The Swedish retailer will also set up small city centres catered by a newly opened Customer Distribution Centre in Gurugram.

As Ikea applies a hybrid omni-channel strategy, online sales are anticipated to amplify the company's presence significantly, especially as this channel now contributes 30% to Ikea India's overall sales.
