Officials in Uttar Pradesh's transport department are set to undergo advanced technology training, as announced by the state government. This initiative is aimed at reducing road accidents and enhancing governance.
The Institute of Driving Training and Research in Rae Bareli is being transformed into a Centre of Excellence to facilitate comprehensive training programs. A dedicated training cell, led by the additional transport commissioner and with Fariduddin as the nodal officer, will oversee the execution of these measures.
Transport Commissioner Brajesh Narayan Singh remarked that this move aligns with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's vision. The initiative will equip officers and employees with the latest technology, covering topics like data-driven policy-making, enforcement strategies, and e-governance, thereby aligning with national and global best practices.
