BJP MP Calls for High-Speed Train Connectivity from Pune

BJP MP Dr Medha Vishram Kulkarni urges high-speed train service linking Pune to major cities like Delhi and Kolkata. She highlights current travel inefficiencies and proposes running Rajdhani Express via Pune to save time and costs, while boosting trade and tourism.

During Monday's Rajya Sabha Question Hour, Maharashtra BJP MP Dr Medha Vishram Kulkarni advocated for enhanced train connectivity between Pune and several metropolitan cities, including Delhi, Chennai, and Kolkata.

She pointed out the lengthy travel times faced by passengers on existing routes and proposed routing Rajdhani Express trains via Pune to better serve travelers.

Kulkarni argued that the introduction of high-speed trains, such as Tejas and Vande Bharat, would significantly improve trade and tourism while urging for direct train services to Nashik.
