NCRTC Initiates Extensive Road Renovation in Modinagar

The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) is renovating roads in Modinagar, focusing on areas from Duhai to Meerut. This project is part of the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut Namo Bharat Corridor. The repairs will improve road durability, employing methods like milling and bituminous layering, to handle heavy traffic conditions.

The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has embarked on a comprehensive road renovation project in the Modinagar area, extending from Duhai to Meerut, the organization announced on Wednesday.

This road enhancement initiative covers several critical zones including Kadarabad, Modinagar North, Modinagar South, and Muradnagar, stretching all the way to the Eastern Peripheral Expressway situated at Duhai in Uttar Pradesh, according to an official statement.

In undertaking the construction of the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut Namo Bharat Corridor, the NCRTC is tasked with the upkeep of roads beneath the viaduct. The frequent deterioration of road conditions is attributed to heavy vehicle traffic and inadequate drainage, particularly during monsoons. The current repair effort utilizes milling techniques and layered asphalt application to bolster the road surface's durability.
