Lao Airlines to Debut Chinese C909 Jet Amid Regional Expansion

Recently, Lao Airlines staff attended training at COMAC's facility in Shanghai, as seen in social media posts. The airline anticipates receiving the C909 by March's end. Meanwhile, Laos' Civil Aviation Department has yet to comment on the jet's certification process.

This move marks COMAC's ongoing efforts to enter the international market, challenging Airbus and Boeing. Vietnam's VietJet is also considering the C909, awaiting regulatory approval, highlighting a growing interest in diversifying aircraft portfolios in the region.
